What is MicroCurator?
MicroCurator is a forum for local residents to discuss and share area businesses. It’s kind of like a neighborhood bulletin board, minus the sketchy job offers.
How is MicroCurator different from other review sites?
Like non-GMO foods, our reviews are 100% organic. These farm-to-table opinions are locally-sourced from your neighbors. Each listing is manually added by a person and displayed without bias, unlike other sites that use programmatic algorithms or purchase directory data. Plus, we’re always free to post and browse.
Does MicroCurator cost anything?
MicroCurator is absolutely free to post or browse listings. But don’t be surprised if you see an ad or two. Daddy’s gotta eat!
Who can add a listing?
You, me, and everyone we know. And that ain’t just a Miranda July cult classic, it’s the honest truth. Did we mention it’s free?
Why should I claim a listing?
Because you love taking ownership. Claiming a listing gives proprietors the option to customize their MicroCurator listing. Instantly modify details and upload photos without pesky moderators gumming up the works. A claimed business will have a check mark next to it indicating to the MC community that the listing has been validated by its owner(s).
How do I claim a listing?
Claiming a listing is as easy as counting to five:
- Create an account
- Find your business
- Click the “Claim It Now” link to the right of the listing
- Within 24 hours, a Master Curator will review your claim to ensure you are an official business representative
- If approved, you will have the capability to customize your image gallery and description of your business
My Region and/or Category is not listed. How do I get it added?
Simply Contact Us with your request to add a Region and/or Category and one of our Administrators will add it!
What does “crowdsourced” mean?
Crowdsourced is a term used to describe a group or community effort to generate content or ideas. When it comes to MicroCurator, we depend heavily on that crowd to spread the word about cool things in your area.
