Texas Style BBQ Brisket

Brisket rub

1/2 cup paprika

1/4 cup black pepper

1/4 cup salt

1/4 cup turbinado sugar (or brown sugar)

3 tablespoons garlic powder

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon dry mustard

1 tablespoon celery salt

1/2 teaspoon red pepper

1 oz of beef broth per pound of brisket.

Instructions

Inject beef broth in several locations about 1 inch apart.  Combine rub ingredients and massage into brisket.  Seal in a plastic bag and refrigerate overnight.  Before you barbecue, remove brisket from refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour.
